The Watt Institution is closed for the next few weeks for maintenance. It is due to re-open by 15th November, however we are looking at an alternative location for our usual third-Friday in the month talk. Keep checking the events page for the most up-to-date information.

The well seen to the right can still be visited at the Wellpark. The image on this poster links two periods: it was there during the life of the old Mansion House and is there today.
And hopefully, will be there well into the future.
The old mansion house was build near the site of the former West Greenock Castle at the north-east end corner of the Wellpark. It was demolished to allow the Glasgow-Greenock railway line to be extended from Greenock Central to Gourock
The houses on the right are almost at the north end of Lyndoch Street
