Friendly Space Policy

Please read before attending an on-line event. Your attendance at this meeting will be taken as a sign that you agree to abide by the guidelines which follow.

These guidelines have been developed to ensure a safe and welcoming experience for everyone and to protect your date.

Participating with respect

While we welcome differences of opinion, we would ask that all comments and behaviours respect others attending the event.

Shouting or swearing, abusive or offensive language, gestures or imagery will not be tolerated and offenders will be ejected from the meeting.

We will also remove any participant that uses an offensive profile image and/or has an offensive username.

We will be actively moderating event chat to ensure a safe online environment is maintained for everyone involved. If you feel that any comments or actions violate these guidelines during an event, please contact our secretary at inverclydehn@outlook.com

Respecting privacy

Please only share information that you are comfortable sharing. When online via Google Meet, other participants will be able to see what is behind you. If you are uncomfortable with what people may see, you may choose to turn off your camera.

Individuals should not make video or audio recordings, or take screen shots unless permission is requested and granted.

Audio or video recording of the event may take place, and for IHN events, this will be advised on the registration form and you will be asked to give your consent. It will still be possible to attend the event if you prefer not to be recorded; in this event, you should mute your audio and/or turn off your camera.

Any recordings - audio or video - will form part of IHN's archive and may be published on our website in whole or in part at any future date. For further details on storing data, please refer to the Privacy and Cookies document in the footer of the website.
